hile everyone may feel sad every once in awhile, however when these feelings of sadness last for a few weeks and begin to interfere with a person’s daily life, it may be that that person is suffering from depression.
There are a number of symptoms for depression. A person suffering with depression may experience intense sadness, a sense of hopelessness, worthlessness, and guilt, irritability, and a loss of interest in activities that were previously pleasurable.
Depression is a relatively common disorder that is often easily treated, however many people with depression do not seek treatment. Depression can interfere with daily life and cause further problems, such as health issues, or in some cases thoughts of suicide. It is important for someone suffering with depression to seek help and begin to live a happier life.
